Be Different – Don’t Live in London!

The most popular destination for teachers relcoating to the UK is London but London isn’t for everyone!  Teaching Personnel is a nationwide agency able to offer you work from over 30 offices throughout England and Wales.  Here are a few details about why there are small communities of international teachers living in places like: Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Kent, Chelmsford, Southampton, Cardiff and Brighton.

Get a true “British” experience, live and work with British people.  In London antipodeans make up a large percentage of the population, out of London you stand out a bit more in the community, people are friendlier, asking “where are you from?”.  Enjoy being a novelty at school, being asked if you ride a Kangaroo to school or if there is a bridge from Australia to New Zealand!

Value for money!  Your pounds do go further when you are not in London, you will have a bigger room, live with less people and in houses rather than apartments.  Rent is (approx) £250 per month vs £500 in London, £10 for a week bus pass vs £33 for a week tube pass, everything from dining out to shopping is an average 20% cheaper than London.  Spending less every day gives you more money to save and spend on holidays!

Travel!  You will see more of the UK, you could afford a car or hire car and get out to places like Stonehenge, York, the Yorkshire Dales, go hiking in the Lakes District or find Loch Ness in Scotland.  There are numerous international airports throughout the UK and all have deals for cheap flights!

For more information about living and working anywhere in the UK, Teaching Personnel’s International Team will be there to help you make your decisions!  Utilising our own expereinces, those of teachers and with advice from our nationwide branch network we are committed to making sure your expereince of life and work in the UK is a success, wherever you choose!
