Leeds

'We love Leeds, We love Leeds, We love Leeds'

.

Over the last 10 years Leeds has transformed from an industrial city to one of the most vibrant and successful cities in the country, with thriving business, service and retail sectors.  The heart of the city is a mix of heritage, lovingly restored and preserved and new developments such as pedestrian shopping areas, city-centre apartments, leisure and entertainment facilities, restaurants and bars.

Leeds has a cosmopolitan feel, being home to over 75 nationalities.  Communities such as Headingley, Chapel Allerton and Kirkstall are recommended for their close proximity to essential amenities and a surplus of high standard, affordable housing.  An effective public transport system means you don’t need a car and supply teachers can triple their options by living in Leeds by also working in Bradford or Wakefield.

The nearby city of York, market town of Otley, villages of Harewood and Saltaire, the spa town of Harrogate and the countryside of the Yorkshire Moors and Dales are all worth visiting.  Leeds itself is always busy with events such as cricket at Headingley, Rugby, League, Football or it is buzzing with people shopping, at the museums, galleries, parks or gardens.

Yorkshire folk are down to earth, easy-going and relaxed.  Considering the ease of finding somewhere to live, getting around, having plenty to do, all without the added costs of living in London, it becomes very easy to call Leeds home.
