Cheshire

Cheshire is a county of dramatic contrasts, encompassing rural, idyllic towns and villages with industrial heritage and landscapes.  A favourite corner of the nation for touring or day visits you can enjoy the history and architecture, tranquil waterways, the bustle of lively towns and the rural charm of the unspoilt countryside.

Education in Cheshire is higher than the national average and the LEA have further plans to improve performance as quoted in a recent Ousted report:

"Educational attainment is high and pupils perform consistently above the national averages and often above the averages for pupils in similar authorities.  Schools are well managed and teaching is generally of high quality.  The LEA is appropriately committed to promoting self management in schools and a relatively small proportion of schools have been identified as requiring special measures"
